Skin Peels at Laserpod London

Skin peels – a non invasive solution

Skin peels are a great solution for clients who suffer from acne, dull complexion or want to rejuvenate their skin with a less invasive treatment. Skin peels treat a build up of dead skin. oils and blocked pores. We might recommend skin peels to treat you in for acne, pigmentation and redness, enlarged pores, sun damage and to rejuvenate skin to reduce the look of ageing. Skin peels can be recommended to keep your complexion brighter and clearer.

At Laserpod we use dermaceutics which are dermatologist approved. Dermaceutic peels are medical and can only be performed by a trained professional such as aesthetic therapist. During the consultation process your therapist should show you their qualifications and certificates.

Depending on your skin concern we might recommend regular treatments particularly in managing active acne. The Mask peel has been proven to reduce the production of sebum which creates excess oil which can lead to acne. As the Mask Peel is a mild treatment it can be used for most skin types including sensitive and treatment is quick – you can come and have a mask in just ten minutes.

Deciding on treatment
The first stage of treatment is for us to meet you and find out your areas of concerns. During this appointment we will provide a skin analysis for you as well as a patch test. After this analysis we can prescribe the right treatment for your concerns or a combination of treatments if appropriate.

FAQ
How do Peels work?
Peels work by deeply exfoliating skin and stimulating the production of fresh skin cells.

Will treatment hurt?
Skin peels are very gentle. You might experience a little mild stinging on your face particularly if you have active acne as the chemicals get to work. Most clients say Peels cause little to no discomfort

Are Peels right for me?
This will depend what you are looking to improve. there really is no one size fits all solution for your skin – everyone is different. However, we will discuss all this during your consultation to make sure we find the best treatment for you. Sometimes we might recommend combining skin peels with other treatments to get the best results.

How long until I see results?
This is very much dependant on how your skin reacts. As a general rule most clients begin to report improvements by the time they have their third treatments. This can include less acne, pore reduction or a younger fresher complexion

What should you do after a peel procedure?
It is really important to look after your skin after a peel to reduce the risk of complications or side effects. This includes using all the cosmetics as directed and using a high factor sun protection.

Really great treatment, it was much less painful than any previous treatments I have received and it was amazingly quick – only a couple of minutes for a bikini line. It’s made me decide that I will definitely do other areas of my body, much better than waxing.
